About Jump

Thank you for your participation in the Jump Rope for Heart Program in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.

By being involved in the Jump Rope program, you are empowering yourself and others to set goals and work together to achieve them. Goal setting is a life skill that students can apply in the classroom and beyond to help increase motivation and confidence.

Jump Rope for Heart is a great way for children to protect their heart and brain health, help save lives, and have more fun at school. We aim to get New Brunswick children active, and educated on their hearts and brains, contribute to life-saving initiatives, and get familiar with the FAST signs of stroke.

The Jump Rope for Heart program teaches students about their hearts and brains, ways to stay healthy, and the signs of stroke. Your school will receive as much as 20% of its fundraising total.

Students will learn life-saving skills through the virtual kick-off assembly video, fundraise and collect prizes for their efforts, participate in a skipping skills education block at their school, and contribute to life-saving New Brunswick initiatives.

Jump Rope for Heart is a rite of passage for New Brunswick children and youth and an event nobody wants to skip!

Making A Difference With the Heart & Stroke Foundation of  New Brunswick

The Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick (HSFNB) leads the fight against heart disease and stroke right here at home. Powered by donors and volunteers, we fund live-saving research and help New Brunswickers lead healthier lives.

By participating in Jump Rope for Heart, you’re helping us accomplish our mission to Promote Health, Save Lives and Enhance Recovery.

Here are some of the programs you’re helping to make possible here in New Brunswick:

Research: The HSFNB has established the Cardiovascular Research Endowment - a fund that is focused on providing support for New Brunswick Based cardiovascular research. To date, the endowment has provided financial support and endorsement to researchers in our province as we continue to fight against heart disease and stroke.

Stroke Navigation: Stroke Navigation is a service that assists individuals who have had a stroke. It is a no-cost service, focused on helping individuals to improve their participation in everyday activities - such as daily tasks, recreation and socialization.

Live Well | Bien Vivre: This is a no-cost health coaching program, accessible to any New Brunswicker over the age of 19. Our Health Coaches are located in six regions across the province and work to support clients in the pursuit of their wellness goals. The program aims to help as many New Brunswickers as possible reach their full potential, and we’re dedicated to having a positive impact on health outcomes to prevent chronic disease.

Heart Healthy Schools: Our Heart Healthy Schools initiative promotes healthy lifestyle choices for children and youth. A carefully designed seven-step curriculum helps teachers engage students through fun learning activities about health promoting behaviours.
